Abstract

The current study investigated the nexus among digital HRM, Digital leadership, Employee Engagement and Organizational performance. Therein, the study examined to address critical scholarly gaps pertaining to the mediation and sequential pathways in the Digital HRM and organizational performance relationship. Through using structured equation modeling, data obtained through self-administered questionnaires from 371 mid-level employees from the banking sector of Bahrain were analyzed. The results concluded that employee engagement mediated the Digital HRM and organizational performance association. Accordingly, the results also confirmed the mediation of Digital leadership in the digital HRM and organizational performance association. Importantly, the study also found statistical results confirming the sequential mediation of Digital Leadership and employee engagement in the relationship between Digital HRM and organizational performance. The study offers notable implications for theory and practice suggesting that boosting organizational performance requires investments in the digitization of organizational systems particularly those connected with HRM alongside tech-savvy leadership that could energize employees to work with immersion for better results.
